Experience and Other Skills Required

Four or more years of experience in analysis, systems design, and programming full project lifecycle.

Experience developing stored procedures functions and packages using Oracle PL/SQL and other scripting languages.

Ability to train other staff on maintenance of systems developed.

Ability to work effectively with a variety of professional, administrators, and support staff.

Good communication, teamwork, testing and documentation skills.

Understanding of different methodologies utilized in the Software Development Life cycle, support the projects through the entire lifecycle (SDLC)including design, development, testing, and production release.

Knowledge or experience working with Automic Appworx, Ellucian’s BANNER experience with Registrar and Admissions, UNIX, SharePoint, TOAD, Xtender and Crystal Reports.

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel. Experience working for Admissions and or Enrollment Management.

Two years of supervisory experience.

Description of Job Duties

Develops, maintains and provides Project Management on projects.

Develop web based applications.

Work to meet all development deadlines and schedules and consistently deliver high-quality products; prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Identify system deficiencies and work on developing and implementing solutions.

Stay abreast of industry trends and all applicable technologies, including scripting, security issues, authoring tools, and new languages in order to broaden and expand knowledge base and proficiencies.

Troubleshoot and correct performance problems related to web and student information system; provide technical assistance and training by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions.

Consult with various team members to define business requirements, create and document technical strategies to support the development of solutions in support of University business functions.

Follow and provide feedback on applicable software development processes, policies, procedures, and coding standards.

Provide feedback on testing functionality requirements and performance; implement and provide feedback on usability design principles.

Assist with special projects, new technologies, and deadlines.

Perform other related functions as assigned.
